A drunk driver in southeastern Wisconsin shows some ingenuity, but still ends up getting busted.

Police in Pewaukee arrested a man for his sixth drunk driving offense after he used an air compressor and balloon to beat an ignition interlock on his vehicle. He got it started, but was busted before he could drive off.

DOT safety chief Dennis Hughes says the ignition devices do "rolling retests" that periodically ask the driver to blow into the device again while the vehicle is being operated. Hughes says the interlocks are pretty hard to trick.
