The economic summit series wraps up today in Milwaukee. The first 2010 Wisconsin Economic Summit took place in early August in Appleton with ideas on economic development. Later that month, La Crosse hosted the second gathering tackling state budget deficits.
The third summit aims to combine ideas on both of those issues and present a plan for the incoming governor and state legislature, says Jim Wood with Wood Communications Group, a sponsor of the events.
Candidates for Governor Scott Walker and Tom Barrett are slated to speak along with other leaders in government, business and education.
Wood says there will be a major presentation on the Wisconsin Prosperity Strategy. The 10 point plan includes leveraging state investments to attract businesses and promoting exports through public and private partnerships.
More than 300 people are expected to attend. Registration is open to the general public.
