An aging con man has added two more life sentences to his collection. Edward Edwards was sentenced in Jefferson County Monday for murdering a young Wisconsin couple in 1980. Family members of Tim Hack and Kelly Drew cried as relatives talked about the pain and loss they have felt since the killing. “May you rot in hell,” Drew’s brother said to Edwards.
The convicted murderer had nothing to say in the courtroom. The 77-year-old will serve behind bars in Ohio where he’s already been sentenced to life in prison for two murders he committed in that state. In an interview with media, Edwards has since confessed to killing his foster son, totaling five murder victims in two decades.
The Jefferson County prosecutor had asked for the two life sentences, citing Edwards’ threat to public safety and the fact he has never showed remorse for the crimes.
