Marquette freshman forward Henry Ellenson was named the Big East Freshman of the Week.
Ellenson earned MVP honors at the Legends Classic in New York, averaging 16.3 points and 10.7 rebounds for the week. Ellenson had his third straight double-double in Sunday’s win over Jackson State at the Bradley Center.
Ellenson’s season numbers stand at 15.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. He blocked a career high six shots in the win over Jackson State on Sunday.
Marquette junior center Luke Fischer also earned a place on the Big East’s five-man honor roll.
