As Brandon Jennings dribbled into a double-team, I thought the Milwaukee Bucks were headed for overtime in Houston last night.  The score was tied at 107 in the closing seconds.  Thank goodness Monta Ellis decided to come to the ball, because Jennings bailed, heaved it toward’s Ellis, who threw up a fade-away three and hit it at the buzzer.  Final score:  Bucks 110, Rockets 107.

The referees reviewed the shot and it was quickly ruled good.  It meant the Bucks are returning to Milwaukee with wins on consecutive nights in Texas.

Ellis, who finished with 27 points and a season-high 13 assists, six steals and six rebounds, also scored the go-ahead basket in Dallas the night before.

Ersan Ilyasova added 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Bucks.  Dunleavy finished with 16 points and J.J. Redick added 14.  James Harden had 25 points to lead the Rockets.

The Bucks return to Milwaukee with a .500 record (28-28).  They’re off until Saturday night when they host the Toronto Raptors at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
