Wisconsin Emergency Management spokeswoman Donna Gilson says they closed down the state emergency operations center overnight Tuesday so workers could rest but with rain approaching they will likely be open overnight Wednesday.

More precipitation is forecast in parts of the state. Officials are keeping their eyes on the earthen dams in Southwestern Wisconsin, many of which are battered, saturated or eroding. These dams in Vernon County control creaks and small streams on private property.

During the weekend storm, people living near these dams were asked to evacuate but not all complied. Gilson is urging all Wisconsinites to follow the suggestion of law enforcement and emergency management. They will only order the evacuation if there is real danger.

"There's too much to risk here I know this is people's life investment in their homes, but your life is worth more. If they say to get out, get out."
