Tom Gorzelanny took the hard-luck loss in a spot-start our of the bullpen.  Gorzelanny lasted 6-innings, allowing the 2-unearned runs on 8-hits while fanning 8-Mets.  Manager Ron Roenicke was happy with the efforts of his starter…

As good as Gorzelanny was for Milwaukee, Jeremy Hefner was better for New York.  Hefner pitched 7-innings of 2-hit baseball for the win.  His only mishap was serving up a solo home run to Jonathan Lucroy in the 7th inning.  For Lucroy, it was his 10th of the year.

Milwaukee sits at 35-52 on the year, a season-low 17-games under .500.  The Cincinnati Reds are in town Monday night for a 7:10 first pitch to open a 3-game series.  Kyle Lohse (4-6, 3.43 ERA) pitches for Milwaukee against Homer Bailey (5-6, 3.57 ERA) of Cincinnati.  Bailey tossed a no-hitter against San Francisco in his last outing.
