The Milwaukee Brewers placed right-handed pitcher Marco Estrada on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring.  To fill the open roster spot, the Brewers called up right-handed pitcher Tyler Thornburg from Triple-A Nashville.

Thornburg is 0-7 with a 6.75 ERA in 12 starts.

Taking Thornburg’s place in Nashville is Jimmy Nelson, moved up from AA Huntsville.  Nelson is 5-4 with a 2.74 ERA in 12 starts for the Stars.

The Brewers also announced that reliever Jim Henderson will make a rehab appearance on Friday with the Class A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.  Henderson has been on the disabled list with a right hamstring strain.
