An exhibit beginning today showcases American courage using American craftsmanship. Milwaukee’s Harley Davidson Museum is kicking off an exhibit dedicated to Evel Knieval.  As a child, William Davidson, great grandson of the founder of Harley Davidson, met Knieval and calls the daredevil an inspiration to him and many others, “He (Knieval) really had a big heart. He talked very positively about the US and the people, just a great, great man.”

Harley Davidson was a long time sponsor of Knieval during his storied career making the exhibit a perfect match for them, “It’s a great tribute to what the museum is all about, American history and pop culture,” says William, who mentions other displays at the museum including the company’s first motorcycle built in 1903 and a bike ridden by Elvis Presley,

True Evel: The Amazing Story of Evel Knieval runs until September 6th.
