Former Green Bay Packers guard Jerry Kramer passed away on Monday after a short illness just two days shy of his 76th birthday.
Ringo was one of the first players in team history to hire an agent, and his subsequent request for a raise wasn't well received by Packers coach and General Manager Vince Lombardi. Ringo was subsequently traded.
Ringo was one of the top centers in the NFL, earning seven Pro Bowl berths during his 11 seasons in Green Bay. He spent time with the Eagles following his trade.
Ringo was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1981.
