A new fall tourism campaign touts Wisconsin "originals."
The advertising campaign strategy includes the passionate, proud, original people of Wisconsin — or as Tourism Secretary Kelli Trumble puts it: Wisconsin originals.
"The people that we've chosen to feature in the two fall spots are Wisconsin originals, and that's for sure. One are the BoDeans from Waukesha, and also the Leinenkugel family from the Chippewa Valley."
Trumble says the Badger State has a large number of Wisconsin "originals," which contribute to our state's uniqueness.
She says the agency wanted to tie the "original" brand to the fall season, and the Leinenkugels are a great example. Autumn activities contribute to their family bond.
"The three Leinenkugel brothers talked about family – the value of family here in Wisconsin and raising the family and having the family business be here for five generations."
Wisconsin is more than just a quick visit, says Trumble. People love to work and go to school here as they experience our state's unique places and adventures.
The advertising campaign is geared mostly toward tourists in the Minneapolis and Chicago markets.
