Farmers in southern Wisconsin are hoping for some decent weather this week as they try to complete the fall harvest.
UW Ag agent David Fischer says last week's rain didn't help efforts to bring in crops. He says corn is only about 70-80 percent harvested, and a bad turn in the weather isn't helping at all. Fischer says soybeans are mostly in, although some scattered pockets still need to be harvested.
If the rain and snow stay away, Fischer says, farmers will be "thankful" to get the rest of their corn and soybeans harvested by Thanksgiving.
