As he said he would, Brett Favre faxed his re-instatement papers to the NFL offices on Tuesday afternoon and says he'll report to the Green Bay Packers .
That leaves the Packers with a short amount of time to react, or face a major distraction in their training camp.
The options for GM Ted Thompson is to trade Favre, something they've been trying to do, keep him or release him. The latter two choices are ones the Packers clearly don't want.
It appears NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will give the Packers a short amount of time to work out a deal for Favre, or push them to allow Favre to join the team or to release him.
It's unclear when Favre will officially arrive in Green Bay. The Packers have two workouts on Wednesday and then no workouts on Thursday.
