Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre had minor ankle surgery on Monday morning.
According to a news released issued by the team, the procedure went as expected and Favre is recovering at this time. No complications are expected and the future Hall of Fame quarterback will be cleared to participate in offseason workouts similar to his schedule in 2006.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Favre would need 8 to 10 weeks of rehabilitation time after the ankle surgery.
