U.S. Senate Democrat Russ Feingold says “don’t believe the polls.”  Multiple polls have shown the three-term incumbent trailing Republican Ron Johnson, but Senator Feingold says you can’t trust those numbers.

He says many of them are done by national groups that do quick polls all over the country. Feingold says the people’s he’s working with show him at least tied with Johnson or possibly even a little ahead.

Still, the Wisconsin Democrat says the race could easily come down to just “a couple of votes. Feingold says he still considers himself a slight underdog in the race.

Feingold toured western Wisconsin Thursday, visiting with senior citizens and college students.
