Officials with FEMA will be in Wisconsin, visiting areas hit hardest by recent flooding in the West-Central parts of the state.

Hannah Vick with FEMA says they’ll be helping state and local officials assess the damage from last month’s flooding. She says the information can then be used to help the state apply for federal disaster aid.

FEMA representatives will visit Buffalo, Clark, Jackson, Trempealeau, and Wood Counties Tuesday. Vick says other locations are likely to be looked at later on, due to the fact that flood waters that are still receding in many locations.

Vick says they’ll primarily be looking at public buildings and infrastructure damaged by flooding.
