An author claims that in 1980, 6 percent of men in their early 40's had never been married but the figure has risen now to 17 percent. Carl Weisman surveyed 1, 533 heterosexual men for his new book “So Why Have You Never Been Married?” He claims most men aren't afraid of marriage, they are afraid of bad marriage.

Michele Olson, Communications Director of Think Marriage , doesn't blame them because there is an entire generation who've witnessed bad marriages and divorce. The Wisconsin-based group educates people on how to develop a lasting marriage.

Olson advises single people who are worried about finding the wrong spouse to take classes to determine what type of person they really want to be with.

'Don't just rely on the twitter-painted 'oh I like you feeling' because that only goes so far..I take a class to be a better employee, why can't I take a class to have a better chance of a great marriage?”
