Prince Fielder clubbed his team record 46th home run and closer Francisco Cordero recorded his franchise high 42nd save, a 4-out save no less, in the Brewers 5-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds.

Derrick Turnbow retired the first two Reds batters in the 8th inning, then preceded to walk the next two.  Ned Yost went to Cordero to get the last out of the 8th, a strikeout of Reds leadoff man Norris Hopper.  Then CoCo returned for the 9th to finish the deal.

J.J. Hardy also clubbed a home run in the bottom of the 8th to give Milwaukee some insurance, and the Brewers pulled to within 1-game of the first place Cubs in the NL Central.  The Cubs split a day-night double header with the Cardinals.

Carlos Villenueva pitched the series finale for the Brewers today.
