Fifteen people were arrested in an Eau Claire area drug bust this week. The arrests came after a three month investigation by the West Central Drug Task Force. Eau Claire Police Detective Sgt. Andrew Falk says most of the drugs being dealt in the investigation were coming out of the Twin Cities or Chicago areas. He says they were being brought to Eau Claire and then broken down for sale on the street level.

Charges include delivery of cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin, THC, and operating drug houses. Sergeant Falk says the investigation could get wider as it progresses. SWAT teams executed what they called "high-risk" search warrants, though there were no reports of resistance. Ten Eau Claire area law enforcement agencies were involved in the effort.
