Germantown native Luke Fischer, playing in his first game for Marquette, made his debut a memorable one. Fischer had 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks to help the Golden Eagles knock off Arizona State 78-71 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Tuesday night.
Jajuan Johnson led the way with a career-high 22 points and Duane Wilson added 19 for Marquette (5-4). The Golden Eagles shot 57% from the field in the win.
Fischer played 33 minutes in his Marquette debut and was thrilled.
Fischer originally committed to Indiana and played for the Hoosiers before transferring back home to Marquette. He had to sit out a year and was finally eligible to play last night.
