Green Bay Packers free agent quarterback Matt Flynn will get his chance to

Matt Flynn

run the show in Seattle after agreeing to a 3-year deal worth a reported $26-million which includes incentives.  The deal is also said to include $10-million in guaranteed money.

Based on the value of Flynn’s deal, the Packers are likely to get a 4th round compensatory pick instead of the 3rd rounder they were hoping for.

It’s expected Flynn will take the starters job away from Tarvaris Jackson.  Jackson started 14 games for the Seattle Seahawks last season and went 7-7.

The Miami Dolphins were also in the mix for Flynn and now are pursuing Alex Smith who led the 49ers to a 13-3 record last season.

Flynn set a Packers record throwing for six touchdowns against Detroit.  Flynn and the Seahawks are set to  host the Packers sometime this coming season.
