A Fond du Lac County jury has found a woman guilty of killing her husband and then hiding his body in a wooded area in Milwaukee.
38-year-old Eve Nance showed no emotion as the jury returned with its decision Friday, after about two hours of deliberation. Nance was found guilty of first-degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse in death of her husband, Tim Nance.
Eve Nance had reported her husband missing at the beginning of the month in November of 2013. Tim’s body was then found on Thanksgiving in a wooded area on Milwaukee’s northwest side, with two bullets in his head.
Prosecutors argued during the eight day trial that Tim was killed because of his infidelity, although the defense claimed that Eve never meant to kill her husband.
District Attorney Eric Toney said no one really won in this case. “It doesn’t change what happened. It doesn’t bring Tim back. It doesn’t give Tim’s daughter a father, or a mother. There are no winners,” he said.
A sentencing date has not yet been set.
