Police in Fond du Lac have arrested a 26-year-old man for a series of home invasions earlier this summer in which the intruder was nude.
The department says the suspect was interviewed by a detective Saturday and admitted to the three home entries that had already been reported, along with a fourth where the homeowners were unaware he was in the house. The suspect allegedly told the investigator he was nude during three of the incidents and touched a woman while she was sleeping during one incident.
In each case, the man said he gained entry through unlocked doors.
The suspect was arrested on charges of burglary, attempted second degree sexual assault, and lewd and lascivious behavior.
Fond du Lac Police Chief Bill Lamb thanked the community for their cooperation and support during the investigation. He also commended lead detective Steve Kaufman for his work that led to the arrest.
