Ready or not, portions of Wisconsin are going to get a preview of winter. The official start of the season is still weeks away, but meteorologist Jeff Grochocinski with the National Weather Service in Duluth said today will certainly feel wintery, with winds gusting out of the west at 25 to 30 miles per hour, along with some lingering light snow. Those winds will shift to the north overnight tonight, likely resulting some lake effect snow along the Gogebic Range between Ashland and Ironwood, Michigan. “That area could get a couple of inches overnight,” said Grochocinski. Look out for cold temperatures statewide in the thirties and even twenties overnight Saturday, before temperatures climb back into the forties and low fifties by Sunday.
