With just a few days left before voters head to the polls for the midterm elections, Former President Bill Clinton joined party members Friday for a campaign rally in Milwaukee. Over 4,500 people packed in to the Milwaukee Theater to see Clinton. The former President called on Wisconsin Democrats to work together in the final days to help bring through a victory for the party. Governor Jim Doyle, Lt. Governor Barbara Lawton, Democratic Attorney General candidate Kathleen Falk, US Senator Herb Kohl, and Congresswoman Gwen Moore joined Clinton on stage for the rally, where he also offered his support.
President Clinton also spent a great deal of his speech attacking Republicans and their election tactics. Clinton said Republicans aren't willing to accept the shortcomings of their party and their failures while in power. Clinton says Democrats are in a position to regain control of Congress after next week, and asked Wisconsinites to help in that push.
