Wisconsin Badger running back John Clay was named one of three finalists for the Doak Walker award, given annually to the nation’s top running back.  Clay has rushed for 929 yards and 13 touchdowns in 9-games this season.

Clay missed the last few games with a sprained knee, but is expected to return for the regular season finale against Northwestern on Saturday.

Tackle Gabe Carimi is a finalist for the Outland Trophy, awarded to the top interior lineman in college football.

Lance Kendricks is a finalist for the Mackey Award, which goes to the best tight end in college football.

Quarterback Scott Tolzien is one of five finalists for the 2010 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.

White honored again

Wisconsin freshman running back James White has been named the Big Ten’s Freshman of the Week for a fourth time this season.

White rushed for a career-high 181 yards and 2 touchdowns in Wisconsin’s 48-28 win over Michigan on Saturday.
