The Government Accountability Board has decided four candidates will not be able to appear on the ballot for the September Primary or the General Election in November.

The Board ruled that Republican Andrew Wisniewski in the 25th Assembly District, Republican Paris Procopis in the 13th Assembly District, and Independent William Tucker in the First Congressional District did not submit enough valid signatures on their nominating papers.

Members also determined that Matt Bitz, a Democrat running in the 75th Assembly District, did not meet residency requirements. Bitz moved from New York to Wisconsin in May, but the law requires candidates to live in their district for at least a year before they would take office.

The GAB dismissed six other ballot challenges.
