Yovani Gallardo was gone after 2 2/3 innings, having allowed 10-hits and 6-runs, on the way to a 12-4 Brewers loss to the Cincinnati Reds.

Gallardo did club a 2-run homer, his 4th of the season. Rickie Weeks also led off the 4th with his 22nd home run of the season, but the Brewers couldn’t match the Reds 19-hit effort, including 4-hits each by Brandon Phillips, Joey Votto and Scott Rolen.
Brewers position player Joe Inglett needed just 6-pitches to work a 1-2-3 9th to help out the Brewers bullpen.
The Brewers 5-game win streak is history. They’ll try to start a new one today when the two teams play the rubber match of the series at Miller Park. Chris Narveson (8-6, 5.92 ERA) faces Travis Wood (0-1 – 2.76 ERA) in the pitching matchup.
