With Zach Greinke sidelined with a broken rib, Milwaukee Brewers manager
Ron Roenicke will give the ball to veteran right hander Yovani Gallardo as his opening day starter at Cincinnati on March 31st.
Gallardo will be followed in the rotation by Shaun Marcum, Randy Wolf and Chris Narveson. If the weather holds up, Narveson would start the home opener against the Atlanta Braves on April 4.
The Brewers are still looking for a 5th starter.
Cactus League
In Cactus league play on Thursday, Ryan Braun clubbed a 2-run homer for the Brewers, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a 9-8 loss to the Colorado Rockies. Milwaukee faces the Oakland A’s in Phoenix today.
