Matt Garza’s first start for the Milwaukee Brewers was a rough one.  Garza threw 28 pitches, allowed 4 runs on 4 hits, walked two and struck out one against the Colorado Rockies.

The Brewers still won the game 6-5 in Scottsdale.  Hector Gomez clubbed a solo home run to left with 2-outs in the 8th inning to pull out the win.  Rickie Weeks and Khris Davis hit their first home runs of the spring as well.

Garza signed a 4-year, $50-million contract with the Brewers during the offseason.

The Brewers return to action today against the Chicago Cubs today.  Marco Estrada gets the start for the Brewers.
