You could be paying more at the pump again soon.

Craig Thompson with the Transportation Development Association of Wisconsin says gas prices are expected climb in the coming months, with them likely topping $3 a gallon again.

Thompson says demand for crude oil is up again, and as a result the cost of crude is increasing. When that happens, he says that usually leads to higher prices for gasoline. Also, refiners will soon be switching to more expensive summer blends of gasoline.

Pump prices in Wisconsin right now average $2.68 a gallon statewide. That’s up four-cents from a month ago, and 72-cents from a year ago, according to AAA Wisconsin.
