the Brewers beat the Miami Marlins 1-0 on Sunday, blanking the Marlins for the 3rd straight game.

Gindl’s blast came two pitches into the bottom of the 13th, ending the scoreless battle.  The home run, which was Gindl’s first walk-off at any level, capped a three-game sweep of the Marlins in a series dominated by Brewers pitching.

The series was dominated by Brewers pitching.  In fact, the Brewers staff hasn’t allowed a run in 35 innings, a streak that dates back to July 14 in Arizona, heading into the all-star break.  The 35 straight scoreless innings surpasses the previous franchise mark of 31, set back in 1990.

Wily Peralta set the pace by working 8-innings, allowing 2-hits, walking 2 and striking out 7.  Peralta (7-9) struck out 7 and saw his ERA drop to 4.30.

Up next for the Brewers, the first of a four-game series against the San Diego Padres at Miller Park tonight.
