Google is helping Wisconsin small businesses increase their online presence. An idea for free training and resources spawned from the internet giant dealing with small businesses.

“We’ve found out that 97-percent of consumers go online to look for local businesses and services, and yet only 63-percent of businesses have a website,” says Judy Nam with Google’s small business marketing team.

Google is hosting a free two-day seminar in Milwaukee, beginning today, where business owners can get information about increasing their web presence. For those who can’t make the training seminar, the conglomerate is partnering with Intuit to provide free websites to any Wisconsin company.

Other partners in the effort include Wisconsin Technology Council, Wisconsin Manufactures and Commerce, Wisconsin Restaurant Association, Wisconsin SBDC Network and Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce

Seminar registration and more information can be found at wisconsingetonline.com.
