Governor Scott Walker says he has no doubt he can follow-through on his pledge to create a quarter million new jobs in Wisconsin over the next four years. Walker says it will take tax cuts for small businesses and less red tape for companies that want to expand.

The newly sworn-in Governor says the state needs to stay focused on the issue. Walker says that’s why he called a special session, where lawmakers are being asked to approve bills that include tax cuts for small businesses, restructuring the Department of Commerce, and providing regulatory relief.

Walker has been promising to create 250-thousand new jobs in the state over the next four years, and insists that’s not “pie in the sky.” He says it happened nearly a quarter century ago under former Governor Tommy Thompson, and he believes it can be done again.
