through at least the 2017-18 season.  The University and PMI Entertainment Group announced the deal at a joint press conference this morning.

The five-year agreement continues a partnership dating back to 2002-03, when the Phoenix  began playing its home games at the state-of-the-art facility which opened prior to that season.  The extension gives Green Bay men’s basketball priority status for scheduling events and also includes increased marketing and advertising support aimed at driving ticket sales and sponsorships.  Green Bay and PMI will collaborate branding efforts to give the Phoenix an increased presence in the facility.

Since opening play in the Resch Center, Green Bay has posted a 109-37 record in the facility for a winning percentage of 74.6 percent in 11 seasons.

Green Bay played its first home game at the Resch Center on Nov. 30, 2002 against Wisconsin.  They’ll open up the 2013-14 campaign on Nov. 16, against the Badgers.
