In Washington, Ohio congressman Jim Jordan said Thursday that he is still running for Speaker, and wanted a third vote. Wisconsin 6th District Republican Glenn Grothman voted for Jordan twice.

“I think Jim Jordan was expecting the conference, to appoint a more powerful temporary speaker, and then have time to build the case for more support.”

“There is no Plan B. I wish they would give Steve Scalise from Louisiana another chance because apparently he only missed by two or three votes when he tried the last time. Otherwise, I think I’ll be opening things up looking for a senior statesman type to take the job.”))

It’s been two weeks since Kevin McCarthy was ousted as Speaker, and the House can’t pass any legislation until a replacement is elected.
