Bill Hall clubbed a first inning grand slam and the Milwaukee Brewers jumped out to a 6-0 lead.  The Brewers held on for a 7-5 win over the San Francisco Giants before 35-thousand plus at Miller Park.  It was Hall's 2nd grand slam of the season and 8th homer overall.

Hall later added a sacrifice fly to drive in a career high five runs for the game.

Claudio Vargas was throwing shutout baseball through five, then hit a road block in the 6th.  He loaded the bases with nobody out, then served up Bengie Molina's grand slam.  The Giants put up all five of their runs in the 6th but their chance to tie the game was taken away by a bad call by the first base umpire.

Geoff Jenkins added an insurance run in the 7th with a pinch hit single and Carlos Villanueva, Derrick Turnbow and Francisco Cordero all worked a scoreless inning to finish out the win.  Cordero recorded his 27th save to lead the Majors.

The Giants have now lost 7-straight, while the Brewers have won 7 of their last 8.

Thursday is an off day for the Brewers.  They'll open up a weekend series against the Kansas City Royals on Friday night at Miller Park.
