Philadelphia, Charlotte and Detroit.  Yet the teams General Manager, John Hammond said they are not in a hurry to hire the teams 13th head coach in franchise history.

The Bucks informed interim coach Jim Boylan yesterday that he would not be back next season.  Boylan, who took over for Scott Skiles on January 8th, went 22-32 (including playoffs) as the Bucks were swept out of the Eastern Conference Playoffs in 4-games by Miami.

Former Miami and Orlando head coach Stan Van Gundy, along with Houston Rockets assistant Kelvin Sampson are considered serious candidates for the Bucks opening.

Hammond said the Bucks have no defined criteria for the job, nor is there a timetable.

Hammond said it’s hard to say what went wrong, but he shares in the blame.  He said they’re a playoff team and they intend to stay a playoff team.

It’s Hammond’s job to hire the right coach.  He’s also ultimately responsible for the teams ability to win games.  It’s also his responsibility to put a product on the floor that excites the fans.  How does he do that?
