What's on the minds of Wisconsin voters? Judging by the final gubernatorial debate, health care is near the top of the list.<br><br>Friday's “We the People” forum in La Crosse kept coming around to health care. Republican Congressman Mark Green recommended changes; multiple choices for families, establishing wellness programs, and tax deductions for health savings accounts. Democratic Governor Jim Doyle responded that health savings accounts currently take care of only about 1% of the nation's population. Doyle said he wants Wisconsin residents to be able to deduct 100% of the cost of their health care premiums. Doyle also touted his efforts on reimporting drugs from Canada, something he said Congressman Green was alone among the Wisconsin delegation in opposing.<br><br>Green said that parts of the state — including southeast Wisconsin — now have some of the highest health care costs in the nation. Doyle said Wisconsin's percentage of people with health insurance is also among the highest in the nation.
