At least four rivers in Wisconsin were flooded Tuesday morning, following heavy rains that have fallen in the state since Sunday.
The National Weather Service said the Black River is more than four-feet above its 47-foot flood stage at Black River Falls. Three other rivers are less than a foot above their banks — the Kickapoo, Pecatonica, and Oconto. The Wisconsin River at Wausau was at its flood stage as of 4:10 a.m., and other rivers are expected to go above their banks between today and next Tuesday.
About two to five inches of rain has fallen on parts of Wisconsin since Sunday. Flood warnings continue on portions of eleven rivers throughout the state. A general flood advisory is in effect until 10:15 tonight for parts of Marathon, Lincoln, Wood, and Portage counties in central Wisconsin.
