Wily Peralta tossed a complete game for the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday, allowing just 4-base hits. Unfortunately one of those hits was Justin Smoak’s 13th home run of the season. Peralta had no margin for error and he fell to the Seattle Mariners 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Felix Hernandez blanked the Brewers on four hits in eight innings for the win. Hernandez (12-5) struck out nine and walked one in his first outing against the Brewers. It’s the 8th time this season that Hernandez pitched at least eight innings.
Hernandez also improved to 16-7 with a 2.63 ERA in 30 career interleague starts.
Danny Farquhar worked the 9th for his 4th save.
The Brewers are off today, then play two in Texas against the Rangers before returning home to Miller Park.
