Home sales in Wisconsin have been nose-diving this year. "I think everyone at this point in time is just losing confidence in the economy in general," says John Deininger with the Realtors Association of South Central Wisconsin. "Sales certainly have been down, Year to date, I'm anticipating that we're about twenty two, twenty three percent below where we were a year ago. Inventories still remain high." On the construction side, fewer new homes and apartments are expected to be built this year than at any time since the end of World War Two.
