The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department has identified a man found dead of a gunshot wound in the Town of Eagle Point on Monday. Sheriff Jim Kowalczyk said the victim is 31-year-old Kenneth J. Patterson. His last known address was on 205th Street in Eau Claire.
Patterson was known to the Sheriff’s Department and had been in the Chippewa County jail in the past. His death is being investigated as a homicide. Kowalczyk said no direct arrests have been made.
Patterson’s body was found Monday morning in front of a vacant house at 162nd St and 83rd Avenue near Lake Wissota. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department.
