The 4th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers hit 7 of their first ten three-point attempts and jumped out to a big lead early, knocking off Northwestern
81-58 in Evanston, Ill. on Sunday night.

The Badgers shot 53.3% from three-point range and 53.6% overall from the field, taking a 22-point lead into the halftime break.  Wisconsin finished 12 of 25 (48%) from three-point range and 30 of 57 (52.6%) overall from the field.

Sam Dekker and Frank Kaminsky scored 16 points each, leading four Badgers in double figures.  Duje Dukan also added a season-high 14 points and Nigel Hayes added 10 points for UW, hitting all five of his field goal tries.

Northwestern (10-5, 1-1) saw its winning streak of four games come to an end.

Wisconsin improved to 14-1 overall, 2-0 in the Big Ten, tied with Maryland and Purdue for the Big Ten Conference lead.  The Badgers will host Purdue at the Kohl Center on Wednesday.
