Kathleen Falk is waiting to see if she wants a recount in the Attorney general's race. But what is she waiting for and for how long??
Kyle Richmond with the elections board explains the process this way. Counties must submit their verified results to the state no later than November 21st. Once the board receives them, candidates have 3 business days to ask for a recount.
Richmond says there have been a few inquiries about the process, mostly from the press, but no official request yet.
Several races were decided by thin margins worthy of a possible recount. But since the days of punch cards and lever machines are gone, Richmond says recounts usually don't change much because the new vote counting technology is fairly reliable.
Richmond says the elections board must have the elections of 2006 verified by December 1st.
