Big Ten LogoThe Indiana Hoosiers clinched the Big Ten men’s basketball championship outright, knocking off the Iowa Hawkeyes 81-78 on Tuesday night in Iowa City.  It’s the Hoosiers first outright Big Ten Championship since the 2012-13 season.

The Hoosiers matched a conference record with 22 Big Ten Championships.  They secured the top seed in next week’s Big Ten Tournament at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The Wisconsin Badgers have two games left in the Big Ten season and still have plenty to play for.  They’re in Minneapolis tonight to face the Minnesota Gophers.

Wisconsin (19-10, 11-5 Big Ten) is currently tied for second place heading into tonight’s game.  If the Big Ten tournament were to start today, the Badgers would be the number-two seed.

The Badgers are 12-and-five since Greg Gard took over and have won 10 of their last 11 games.  Their only loss during that stretch came against Michigan State (Feb. 18).

Wisconsin is in pretty good shape with regards to the NCAA Tournament.  Moving forward, about the only thing that could hurt the Badgers, would be a loss at Minnesota tonight.

Tip time tonight is 8 p.m. at Williams Arena.
