Tom Crean The Indiana Hoosiers, trying to dig out from an NCAA scandal, has hired Marquette 's Tom Crean as the school's next head coach.  The school is set to make it official at a news conference today.

Crean has gone 190-96 in nine seasons at Marquette, including a trip to the 2003 final four. 

The move comes after former Indiana coach Kelvin Sampson resigned.  Assistant Dan Dakitch took over, but the program hit a wall. 

Marquette now will begin its search for a replacment.
