ESPN reports the Minnesota Vikings have imposed a deadline on Brett Favre to decide his future by the end of this week if he wants to play in Minnesota this season.
Other news agencies report there's no truth to the ESPN story, saying there is no deadline.
There still appears to be a good chance that Favre will make his comeback with the Vikings. In fact, a member of Favre's circle has blocked off 25 to 30 rooms at the Midway Motor Lodge near Lambeau Field for the weekend of the Vikings game against the Packers on November 1st.
It's not known if that group knows for sure whether Favre will play for the Vikings, or if they're covering their tracks just in case.
