With a pair of Big Ten victories last week, Wisconsin swept the Big Ten Conference weekly awards.  Junior Frank Kaminsky was named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week, while Nigel Hayes earned his fourth Big Ten freshman of the Week.

Kaminsky, who shares the player of the week award with Nebraska’s Terran Petteway, earned his first career double-double on Sunday at Michigan, pouring in a game-high 25 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.

Kaminsky averaged 21.0 points a game last week after scoring 17 points, going 9 for 9 at the free throw line in the Badgers win over Minnesota.  He ranks fourth in the Big Ten in field goal percentage (.544) and second among all Badgers in scoring (13.0).

This is the second career Big Ten Player of the Week award for Kaminsky.

Hayes, who averaged 9.5 points a game this week, earns his fourth Big Ten Freshman of the Week award becoming the first player in Big Ten history to earn the honor in back-to-back weeks on multiple occasions.

Hayes scored 15 points against Minnesota and four points in the win over Michigan.  Hayes is averaging 10.3 points and 3.3 rebounds a game during Big Ten play overall.
