This is agricultural day for the Doyle campaign with the incumbent governor laying out his farm policy, if re-elected.

Number one on the governor's list. Keeping Wisconsin number one in national cheese production. Doyle says he won't take a back seat to California or anyone else.

Doyle plans to use workforce training funds, usually set aside for manufacturers to upgrade cheese making plants and train workers. He says cheese makers are manufacturers too.

For the corn farmers, he plans on re-introducing his 10-per cent ethanol mandate as soon as the legislature convenes.

Doyle also has plans to increase milk production, preserve the state's farmland and help livestock farmers through a Grow Wisconsin Livestock Team.
